OptiStreams Private Networks Offer Your Business Customized Communications
OptiStreams is well aware of how important communications efficiency is for corporations and governments agencies. Wireless and Satellite IP-based networks are the most important tool in the quest to address operational safety that will work in all geographic areas.
OptiStreams can co-locate and construct Private Satellite Networks™ (PSNs™)” for enterprise clients.
Our private networks use 2-way satellite broadband connectivity to route IP traffic among multiple remote sites without going through the Internet or any other third-party network. Thus, it needs minimal encryption and often no routers for secure communication. A PSN links the remote network traffic to the corporate headquarters through a backhaul connection. Either a dedicated point-to-point circuit or a Virtual Private Network (VPN) tunnel can be used. A PSN can still link to the Internet by routing Internet traffic at the shared hub service facility. This minimizes network traffic sent over the backhaul - reserving the backhaul for corporate traffic.
The most widely used VPN architecture is the client/server model. In the client/server model, a software client is loaded on the remote computer that connects over the Internet to a VPN server or router located on the organization's private network. However, any VPN requires routing communications across the Internet. PSNs™ improve security by making the communications completely private. OptiStreams VSAT platforms also support full MESH topology for "HUB" less deployments.
